Tour description and Itinerary.
We will pick you up from your hotel or airport at 9am. First we will visit Saqsayhuaman, one of the more amazing Inca Temples in Cusco, this place was built with megalithic stones, the main purpose was to worship to the sun god.
From here we will drive to the Temple of Puma in Qinqo where we will see the place where the offerings to worship the Puma deity were made. We will also visit the Inca morgue where the Incas did the mummification process.
After lunch optional we will drive to the Pisaq archeological site high above Pisaq village. Pisaq is an amazing citadel with the largest Inca terraces and many native people living around. Then we drive to famous Pisaq traditional market where you will have time to walk around to enjoy the market, to do some shopping. We will also show you the Colonial Oven, and you can try the typical empanadas.
Other options/additions:
We can stop in some other interesting spots on the way like the amazing Cochawasi Wildlife Sanctuary.
The Cusco and Sacred Valley tour ends here we will return to your hotel.
